Ever since I can remember, I’ve always been a huge fan of Halloween. It wasn’t so much the treats; as a kid, I didn’t eat candy very often. However, I do remember this one Halloween I tried swallowing a gumball whole, I might have been 8 or 9 years old… After choking for what felt like an eternity before finally spitting it back up, I still haven’t told my parents about that one. The costume parties are always dope, but my favorite part is definitely the 31 days of Halloween movie fest. Sure, nowadays you could watch those movies whenever but they are sooo much better in October.

Part of the fun of making these Halloween-themed foods is making them look festive, and this Mummified Meatloaf is undoubtedly festive. An excellent idea for your next Halloween party, not only a scary dish but tasty! Generated to leave your guest impressed.

INGREDIENTS:

Meatloaf:

  • 2 lb ground beef
  • 1 onion, grated,
  • 3 egg
  • 2 tablespoons breadcrumbs
  • Garlic ponder
  • 1 sprig of rosemary, leaves chopped
  • Salt
  • Pepper

For Mummy:

  • Sweet Baby Rays bbq sauce
  • 2 hard bowled (eyes)
  • 1 package bacon
  • Sliced onions or slice garlic cloves

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Preheat oven to 350℉.
  2. Boiled two eggs for 7 to 10 minutes depending on desired doneness. Place bowled eggs into a cold water bath and pile shell.
  3. Mix together ground beef, bread crumbs, salt and pepper, garlic powder, 1 egg and Sweet Baby Rays barbecue sauce until well combined.
  4. Shape meat call into a head-shaped oval and transfer meatloaf to a large baking dish.
  5. Make two eye holes and place hard boiled eggs to make eyes.
  6. Insert the onions or garlic cloves into the meatloaf mouth.
  7. Brush the outside of meatloaf with BBQ sauce. Then wrap the bacon around the meatloaf to mimic mummy wraps. Brush on another coat of BBQ sauce and pop into a oven.
  8. Bake uncovered at 350 degrees for 45 to 55 minutes or until the center reaches 160 degrees.
  9. Transfer to a serving plate and enjoy!
